ASUS A7M
After several years of using laptops I give my preference to only two manufacturers: ASUSTeK, for the variety of choice and dominance of the brand among the components of desktop PC, and ACER – I’ve been using this laptop for the last two years. Although Roverbook is much cheaper I’m not that enthusiastic to use a heap of the cheapest components since I can afford something better. I do like SONY and Apple but they are bloody expensive. Here is a driver download page.
During the long night when I was selecting the right model for me at manufacturers’ and dealer’s Web sites an additional criterion emerged that helped me to shortlist the candidates to occupy my work table. Since my last laptop had a 15″ screen with 3:4 ratio, I wanted to have the screen of the same size at least. Since modern 15-inch widescreen monitors have lesser height, I decided on 17″ screen with 16:10 ratio. As it turned out the number of such offers was much less.
